Weight of an Object on the Moon | Gravitation
Download Notes
We all know that earth attracts every body with some force of attraction, same way Moon also attracts the body with some force. Here if we compare earth and moon, then mass of earth is more compared to Moon, so earth has more gravitational force of attraction compared to moon. Hence weight of objects will be more on Earth and less on moon. Here in this video, whole derivation is shown for the same. Finally we get the relationship that; Weight of object on Moon = (1/6) × weight of object on the earth. More videos: Thrust and pressure | What is the difference? | Gravitation class 9
